The Zantedeschia aethiopica is a species of the family Araceae and has common names such as Calla Lily, Lily of the Nile, Easter Lily, among others, and is native to South Africa, though is grown in many parts of the world.
The simple beauty of the Calla Lily lies in its pure white spathe and yellow spadix which provide a wide variety of curvature formations.
In the early 20th century the Calla Lily was cultivated for the Easter time floral trade, hence one of its nicknames.
It is a perenniel and under the right conditions the Calla Lily is able to bloom year-round. A truly elegant flowering plant.
