A fabulous performer throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and the most award-winning female of all time, Whitney Houston passed on the eve of the Grammy Awards, February 12, 2012.
She was, to most people, probably best known as a singer with an incredible voice, though she was also a successful actress, model and producer.
The list of her honors and accolades is more than impressive, with a total of over 400 awards having been bestowed upon her, including 2 Emmy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, 22 American Music Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, to name but a few.
Her first acting role in The Bodyguard also produced the 1994 Grammy for Album of the Year while the lead single from that music soundtrack, “I Will Always Love You,” became the best-selling single in history for a female artist.
Suffice it to say that her talent will always remain.
Rest In Peace, Whitney.
Over For Now.
